Helpful Halloween Tricks

Halloween is coming up on Monday which means celebrations are going to be happening all weekend.  If you are the unfortunate victim of a trick and not a treat,  here are a few helpful tips and tricks that will help you deal with the aftermath.

If you get egged: Eggs will stain your house and ruin the paint on your car if not taken care of quickly.  Power washers are the easiest way to clean up messy eggs from windows, houses and cars.  If you don’t have a power washer, you can use a solution of baking soda, vinegar and some laundry detergent to clean the eggs off of your property.

If you wake up to find your property covered in toilet paper: Luckily toilet paper is biodegradable so if you live somewhere were it is rainy or dewy and the toilet paper starts sticking to your house, car or tree, you can usually spray it off with a garden hose.  Use a tree trimming tool to reach the really high sections of paper.  If the toilet paper gets wet and dries to the side of your house you can use some soap and warm water and a bristle brush to scrape it off.

If you have shaving cream in your yard: Shaving cream is harmless but has a tendency to stain concrete and houses.  If this is the case, use some laundry detergent and water, soak it for a bit, then rinse away.

You can also try to avoid the clean up by keeping an ear out for those little ghouls during the night!  Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for special promotions, offers and handy tips and tricks.
